Leon Camier accepts Red Bull Honda will attack the Brno round “a little behind the other teams” having missed the in-season test with both he 🍷and teammate Jake Gagne out injured last month.

With the Brno test held after the Assen round, which sawඣ the factory Honda squad miss both races with Camier and Gagne suffering injuries, the team didn’t make the trip 🐓to test in the Czech Republic.

As a result, the only relevant data and information the team has on the circuit is from TripleM Honda’s PJ Jacobsen who was the sole Honda rider to take part in the test. With Camier also taking a steady approach to his🍷 comeback from three broken ribs sustained at Aragon in April th𒁃e British rider is hoping to get up to speed quickly at Brno in order not to lose ground to its rivals.

“Missing the recent test here means we're a little bit behind the other teams in terms of having a base setting heading into the weekend,” Camier said. “But the bike has come along well recently and hopefully can get it working well from the first sessi🦂on on Friday.

“I really like the Brno Circuit, it's probably one of my favourites to ride although it is quite a challenging circuit to r😼ide.

“My recovery is going well, it's the type of injury♔ that isn't a quick fix so I'm not 100% but it's better than it was at Donington so things are improving there step by step🌄.”

Camier’s last competitive outing at Brno came in 2014 in MotoGP when he stepped in for the injured Nicky Hayden at Aspar Honda for fꦰour rounds. Thꦿe British rider’s World Superbike record at the Czech track has seen him take a handful of top 10 finishes over his first three seasons in the series competing for Aprilia and Suzuki.
