There was both good and bad news in terms of the laꦗtest 2020 World Superbike Championship calendar.

The Andalusian Government, Mayor of Jerez and D🧸orna have agreed to 💯propose to the Government of Spain that the Jerez WorldSBK round takes place on the weekend of August 2, immediately after two MotoGP events at the same circuit.

"With the health and safety of all concerned at the forefront of the proposal, the proposal pro🧸cess regarding the Spanish Round is underꦇway and updates will be communicated accordingly," said a WorldSBK statement.

Although officially Donington Park still holds its July 5 date, which due to p🧔revious postponements and cancellations means it is listed as the next event after Phillip Island, Jerez is now much more likely to ꦉbe the scene of the belated second round.

Meanwhile, Oschersleben has now been dropped from t♓he 2020 schedule.

"Regrettably, after many scenarios being examined and evaluated and due to the e🅺xtension of the German government's b💛an on large gatherings, the German Round has been cancelled," said the statement.

"All parties are working on a suitable solution for the Germ𒊎an Round that meets the interests of everyone for 2021."

As with Jerez, Dorna is planning to run WorldSBK immediately after MotoGP at the tracks where they both race this season, which would mean Aragon, Catalunya and Misano also have a good𝕴 chance of going ahead, but a question mark hangs over the other rounds...
