WorldSBK𒁃 pr🌌eparations are in full swing, with a recent test at Misano giving big names such as Scott Redding, Toprak Razgatlioglu and Michael Ruben-Rinaldi the chance to test new MotoGP inspired Brembo front brake calipers. 

As always with testing, technical innovations are on full view and no 📖ma🎃tter how substantial or small they might be, the difference can be game-changing.

The latest tech update comes from the well known brake manufacturer Brembo, who have bro𓆉ught new front 🍸brake calipers to WorldSBK.

Brembo produces the highest level𓄧🦩 of brake calipers and has been a mainstay for MotoGP machinery since 2002.

While they will not be identical to the MotoGP version and are more specific to Superbikes, it is ꦍde✃rived from MotoGP technology and will be a new advancement for WorldSBK machinery. 

There is plenty of crossover this year between the two series, with Scott Redding, Tito Rabat, Alvaro Bautista and Eugene Laverty all 🍸having years of MotoGP experience. While A🐷ndrea Locatelli was part of the Moto3 and Moto2 categories for several years. 

Redding got a chance to test the new Brembo front calipers extensively in Misano, and thinks bringing MotoGP technology is a ไstep forward. 

The 2020 championship runner-up said: "We had some small things to test but for Brembo, they’re quite big. We had some calipers to help with the temperatures, but we aren’t in 35 degrees to feel the difference, so t🦄he performance was the same, which is always good.

“The goꦺod thing with WorldSBK now is that it is quite close to MotoGP. Some things are being filtered down, which for me is good because I have some experience there from some years ago.

"I wouldn’t say itꦕ helps me, but I already have a feeling for some of these things, and I am happy with that."

Speaking at the test, Brembo’s WorldSBK Customer Manager, Franco Zonnedda also added: "The weather conditions were good one dꦡay one, and he tested 💝the new finned caliper.

"These are not the best conditions for sure, in Barc𒈔elona we will have more severe conditions to test but we are all quite happy. Scott finished the session with the finned caliper and was happy, alo♏ng with the new finned disks.

"The finned calipers come from a MotoGP™ versio෴n but this is the specific🧸 version for WorldSBK. We are confident that the system will work well and that we can give more performance with this system."
