Scott Redding recovered from a difficult Superpole race to claim his first World♉SBK win of 2021 at Aragon.

Redding sta🅘rted the🔯 day with a ninth place after making a wrong tyre call during the damp Superpole race.

Most of his rivals chose the intermediate front tyre, while Redding൩ was one of a select few who had a wet front on their machine.

And after a fast start which saw him take the lead on lap one, Redding rapidly🅷 lost position after position.

The same could not be said a few hours later as Reddi﷽ng’s bold decision to run slick tyres paid off in fine style, as he dominated race two in half-dry, half-wet conditions.

The 2020 series runner-up finished nin🐓e seconds ahead of championship leader Jonathan Rea.

Speaking after the race, Redding added: "Yeah, it’s kind of w🐼eird because it doesn’t feel like I’ve raced because I was on my own.

"It was a gamble and I took a gamble ✱this morning. I didn’t know whether to go for the intermediate and then it was the same situation again (race two), and on the grid I was remembering at Sachsenring years ago in MotoGP going with an intermediate and it cost me a podium.&n⭕bsp;

"I remember saying ‘I won’t use the intermediate in race con💮ditions again’, so we put the slicks in and thought I’ll take the chance.

"It was a bit sketchy and I lo💜st out this morning. I lost out at Brands Hatch in 2019 when I went with the intermediate which cost me, but I finally took a gamble and ෴it paid off for a win. I’m happy about that, but it was a really tough and strange weekend."
