Suzuki to make WorldSBK return with wildcard entry at Navarra

Suzuki will make its first WorldSBK appearance since 2018 after securing a wildcard entry at round seven of the championship in Navarra.

Suzuki will make a return to WorldSBK for the first time since 2018 with a wildcard entry at Navar♉ra (round seven). 

The Japanese manufacturer’s last wildcard appearance came at Donington Park, when c🦋urrent British Superbike riders Gino Rea and Bradley Ray were in action. 

However, Suzuki has not been a part of the grid full-time since 2015 when it racedᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ under the Crescent Racing name. 

Naom🧔i🧸chi Uramoto, who competes in the Spanish Superbike Championship will be riding the GSX-R1000 Suzuki. 

"Speaking ahead of his WorldSBK debut, 🐎Uramoto said: “I do not know what to expect, as this has been decided so suddenly, but I thank 🍷the team for giving me this great opportunity. 

"Since this is my first time racing in the World Superbike Championship, I am looking forward t🐭o it. 

"Since I have an ♚ESBK race at the same circuit the following week, I will try to enjoy it thinking as it as a test for the following week."

Wildcard ri♒ders have already enjoyed goo🍬d success this season, as Marvin Fritz, Luke Mossey and Andrea Mantovani all claimed points finishes during their one-off appearances. 

Suzuk🔥i’s participation will boost the manufacturer count to six at Navarra - joining defending champions Kawasaki, Yamaha, Ducati, Honda and BMW. 

Suzuki has re♛corded 32 wins and 139 podiums throughout their time in WorldSBK - including a world title in 2005 with Troy Corser.
