Rinaldi and Rea were the riders with the p🐬ace throughout as they immediately set sub 1m 40s lap times.

Rea was first to do so, but Rinaldi, w🐓ho was following the six-time world champioℱn come the pair’s third laps around, managed to pip the Kawasaki rider by just under a tenth.

It was an impressive start to race day for American G🍒arrett Gerloff who slotted into third with just over four minutes remaining - a positio🌺n he maintained through to the flag.

Since his coming together and crashes with se💮veral riders early in the year, Gerloff has been a shell of his former self, however, the speed has remained there on various occas💎ions including this session.

Pole sitter for to✨day’s double feature races, Toprak Razgatlioglu was seventh fastest, one spot ahead of team-mate Andrea Locatelli.

After missing Saturday’s Superpole qualifying and FP♑3 sessions, it has been confirmed that Lucas Mahias will miss the remainder of 2021 due to injury.
