Herrera secures full-time World Supersport slot with MS Racing Yamaha
Maria Herrera will become the first female to contest a full ca✱mpaign in the World Supersport championship after securing a deal with MS Racing Yamaha who steps up from World Supersport 300 in 2019.
Herrera made her World Superspot 300 debut last year with the MS Racing Yamaha squad and ended the campaign 13th in the rider༒s’ championship, while fellow female rider Ana Carrasco made history by becoming the first woman solo motorcycle world champion by winning the title.

Herrera will dovetail her efforts by also competing in th🀅e first-ever MotoE campaign as she teams up with Angel Nieto Team alongside 2011 125cc world champion Nico Terol.
Earlier this week, Carrasco confirmed she would aim to defend her World Supersport 300 t🌃itle in 2019 after confirming a dea♊👍l with reigning World Superbike champions Provec Racing to run her Kawasaki squad.
