If Dominique Aegerter loses less than four points to Steven Odendaal in San Juan this weekend,𝐆 then the Swiss rider will clinch his first ever world title. 

Aegerter leads the Supersport champio𝓰nship by 54 points with just four races left - two in Argentina, before 🌃November’s season finale at the new Mandalika International Circuit, Indonesia. 

The former Moto2 rider, who is also a rookie in the Supersport class, has been by far the series’ standout rider after taking 10 wins from 17 𓆉races thus far.

Aegerter’s 54 poi💝nt lead is even m🌳ore impressive when you factor in his MotoE commitments, which led to him missing the Catalunya round last month. 

While the 31 year-old narrowly𝔍 missed out on winning the MotoE World Cup - finished second to Jordi Torres, clinching the Supersport title looks inevitable for the Swiss rider.

Sp🔜eaking ahead of his first visit to the San Juan Villicum Circuit, Aegerter added: "I like to ride at new tracks and my focus and concentration wi✨ll be on free practice one and two to learn the track and see how we need to set up the bike.
