Leon Camier produced another strong performance to take his second win of the day this afternoon at Knockhill🦹 and further cement his position as the runaway leader in the 2009 ViSK.com British Superbike Championship💖.

Camier had been on form throughout the weekend - and while he briefly dropped behind Stuart Easton at the start of the second raﷺce, he soon passed the Hydrex Honda man and set about hauling in pole sitter, Josh Brookes.

Camier eventually took the lead at the end of lap𝔍 7, and while he slipped back almost straight away, he soon grabbed P1 for good on lap 8 and then slowly pulled awayꦏ.

Indeed the Airwaves🅰 Yamaha man eventually finished almost 5 seconds in front and unsurpr🐷isingly he was happy with the result, especially as GSE Racing had never took 'gold' at the Scottish circuit until today.

"I need to send massive thanks to the whole of the Airwaves Yamaha team," Camier told the off🐈icial B༺SB website, "as they had never won at Knockhill before this weekend so to do the double is even more special for everyone.

"It was d🍌ifficult to concentrate at certain points but it is a great result for the whole team and I don't intend on slowing down any time s🐠oon."

Camier now ha🃏s 267 points on the board, while his team-mate, James Ellison is his closest rival, albeit only on 189 - 78 adrift.

Meanwhile, having lost the lead on lap 8, Brookes went on to easiඣly take the runners-up spot for HM Plant Honda.

James Ellison nabbed the final spot on the podium, having fought his way passed Michael Rutter early on and then overhauling Stuart Easton, when the Hydrex Honda star made a mistake passing a backmarker with around one third of the race stil🐎l to go.

Chris Walker rounded out the top five, while his team-mate, Graeme Gowland was seventh, making Simon Andrews, who finished s💞ixth for Colchester Kawas♈aki, 'the meat in the Motorpoint/Henderson Yamaha sandwich'.

Further down the pack, Julien Da Costa came in eighth, follow🅘ed by Tom Bridewell and Gary Ma𝓡son. Bridewell passed Mason at Leslie's late on to ensure he once again ended up P9 and more importantly came out top in the Mirror.co.uk Cup category.

In total 19 riders were classified at the finish of thꦉe 30 laps and there were four retirements - namely John Laverty, who crashed out on lap 4, while technical problems stopped Ian Lowry (lap 8) and Karl Harris (lap 20).

Michael Rutter also failed to finish for Worx Crescent Suzuki. He had been running fifth, until he went off at the Real Radio Hairpin on lap 21. He then sat on the sidelines and watched the remainder of t🔯he race.
