Redline Racing's Dino Zamparelli has extended his Porsche Carrera Cup GB📖 championship lead over Tio Ellinas after dominating race one at Silverstone.

Zamparelli started the opening race from pole position and led every lap of the 𝓰28-lap enco෴unter to secure his fourth victory of the 2018 season, moving him further out of reach from his nearest title rivals.

It was also Zamparelli's fifth career Porsche win at Silverstone, maintaining his imperious re𓄧cord around the Grand Prix venu🍌e.

"With pole posiꦆtion on the left hand side, my main concern was getting through turn one in the lead, but I got a great start and was able to get across quickly," said Zamparelli.

"I got the gap early on and it was all about controlling the race from there, using all ✃my experience to make sure I made no mistakes. The Redline Racing Nationwide car was awesome to drive. It's been a perfect weekend so far and we want more success from fourth in race two."

While Zamparelli was able to romp away at the head o🌃f the field to an eventual winning margin of almost four-seconds, Slidesports Engineering's Ellinas was unable to match the searing performance of his title rival as the former F1 test-driver instead had﷽ to fight off the attentions of Tom Wrigley and George Gamble.

Having survived lap-after-lap of asserted pressure from the JTR 911 Cup car of Wrigley, Elliಞnas eventually broke free in second position, but was tooꦯ far back to launch any sort of attack on the race leader.

Wrigley consolidated his position on the podium in third, whi♔le Gamble settled for fourth ahead of Dan Harper in fifth.

Will Bratt finished in sixth after late contact with Lewis Plato at Luffield corner saw IN2 Racing driver move ahead of Plato. That incident dropped Plato back down to eighth behind P🏅ro-Am winner Dan Vaughn, who finished in seventh overall for Motorbase Performance.

Dan Welch🐷 was ninth, while Seb Perez recovered back up the order to salvage a top-ten finish foll🔯owing a slow start.

Peter Kyle-Henney converted his Am pole pos🐟ition into the category win♓ ahead of his chief rival Peter Mangion, the pair finishing 14th and 15th respectively.
