Honda's Dan Cammish took his second race victory of the day, while Team BMW's Colin Turkington clinched his third British Touring Car Championship c🥂rown in dramatic fashion with a 22nd place finish at Brands H🐼atch.

In a nඣear mirror image of race one, Cammish led home yet another Halfords Yuasa Racing Honda 1-2 result ahead of his team mate Matt Neal, to record his secoﷺnd career BTCC win, while the title drama unfolded behind.

With Turkington and Tom Ingram starting the second race with no success ballast from 12th and 14th, the race for the 2018 drivers' crown was very nearly turned on its head after Turkington found himself careering across𒆙 the gravel at Paddock Hill bend on the 13th lap of the race.

An incident with BTC Norlin Racing Honda of Dan 📖Lloyd saw Turkington drop out of the points paying positions and down to the rear of field, while Ingram found himself on the cusp of a🤡 podium finish.

Turkington had already lost ground rel🍃ative to Ingram after being shuffled down to 14th by Ad🐭am Morgan and Ashley Sutton a lap prior to his altercation with Lloyd.

With Turkington out of the points in 22nd, Ingram needed to finꩵish in third in order to take the tit♕le fight down to the wire in the final race.

However, with third position being occupied by Turkington's BMW team mate Andrew Jordan, Ingram was able unableꦏ to manufacture a gap past Jordan, meaning Turkington was abℱle to take the title a race early in 22nd place.

Turkington now has an unassailable 💮23-point at the top of thℱe table, with just 22 left to play for in the final race.

Jordan completed theꦚ podium order behind the Hondas of Cammish and Neal, while Ingram r𝓀emained fourth ahead of Aiden Moffat in fifth.

Tom Chilton was sixth aboard his Motorbase Performance Ford Focus RS, while Senna Proctor finished in seventh ahead of the charging Subaru of Ashley Sut༺ton 🌠in eighth.

Rob A🧔ustin and Josh Cook completed the remainder of the top-ten finishers in ninth and tenth.
