Schumacher, Alonso headline Bahrain F1 test line-up

Mick Schumacher and Fernando Alonso are two of the standout names in action for the Bahra💟in in-season Formul🌺a 1 test this week.

The two-day test takes place on April 2-3 at the Sakhir International Circuit, d꧅irectly after the Bahrain Grand Prix, and is the first of two in-season tests with the next one taking place at Circuit de Catalunya after the Spanish Grand Prix (May 14-15).

Mick Schumacher and Fernando Alonso are two of the standout names in action for the Bahrain in-season Formula 1 tꦑest this week.

The two-day test takes place on April 2-3 at the Sakhir International Circuit, directly after the Bahrain Grand Prix, and is the first of two in-season tests💦 with the next one taking place at Circuit de Catalunya after the Spanish Grand Prix (May 14-15).

As part of F1 rules, all teams must run two days of in-season testing out of the total of four days with young drivers (who have competed in two F1 races o🦩r fewer) with many teams splitting itsཧ programmes between experienced hands and newcomers.

Mick Schumacher will make his F1 test debut for Ferr💧ari on the opening day before switching over to Alfa Romeo for the concluding day, while two-time F1 world champion Fernando Alonso gets his first experience of a 2019 car with one-and-a-half days of action in McLaren’s Pirelli tyre test car, with Carlos Sainz filling the final half-day.

Pirelli has Toro Rosso and McLaren for tyre tests in Bahrain, with Daniil Kvyat in for bo✤th days at the Italian squad while teammate Alexander Albon tests for the official team across the two days.

At Mercedes, Bahrain Grand Prix winner Lewis Hamilton returns to action on the first day before handing over to Williams driver George Russell for day two. Russell still qualifies a🐼s a young driver having only contested the maximum of two F1 races.

At Red Bull, Max Verstappen༒ begins the test before handing over to another debutant Dan Ticktum, a Red Bull junior, with Renault💟 and Haas using the same tactics.

McLaren and Williams are splitting driver duties between their two regular drivers on the first day before Lando Norris and Nicholas Latifi run a full day on Wednesday at their respective&nbs💞p;teams.
