Kimi Raikkonen expects to adapt quickly to the new Halo cockpit protection device that will be used in Formula 1 through 2018, adding he is "happy" for the aꦏdded safety measure.

F1 teams have been unveiling their new cars for the 2018 season over the pas🌞t two weeks, all of which are fitted with the Halo that was made mandatory for the upcoming campaign by the FIA.

The move has proven divisive among fans, many of whom feel the Halo detracts from F1's open-cockpit na🥃ture, while drivers have also been split on the decꦡision.

Speaking following the launch of Ferrari's new F1 car, the SF71H, Raikkonen w🐭as h▨appy with how the chassis looked even with the Halo, and is expecting to adjust quickly.

"The H🦂alo looks different, but to be honest we tried 🦄it last year a few times and it wasn’t a huge difference. You get used to it," Raikkonen said.

“With this car, it is designed into it so it should be bett꧋er and less visible when we are driving.

"It looks a bit different, but with all the new🎐 rule changes the cars look diffe𒁃rent, but then you get used to it quickly.

"It is wh🔯at it is and it's a safety thing so I’m happy to take it."

Raik🌊konen will enjoy his first extended run out in the ne꧂w Ferrari SF71H next week at the start of pre-season testing in Barcelona, Spain.
