Sebastian Vettel has rated his performances through the 2019 Formula 1 season so far at 5/10, saying he can "do a better job" th🌸rough the second half of the year.

Vettel entered F1's summer break with a third-place finish in Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix, finishing over a minute off race winner Lewis Hamilton as Ferr🔯ari's wi💦nless start to the season continued.

Vettel and Ferr🐻ari have failed to meet the lofty pre-season expectations that followed its impressive showing in testing, only competing for victory at a handful of races as Mercedes and, on occasion, Red Bull have pulled clear at the front.

Asked to rate his 💮season so far out of 10, Vettel settled on giving himself a five.

"Five - I'm not happy with the first half. I think I struggled here and th💫ere to really get on top of the car," Vettel said.

"I think we’ve b♍een trying a lot of things so fair enough. Obviously we wanted to 💧squeeze out more, so you’re always looking for more.

"But I feel I can do a better job in the second half. And five💃 is my number, so take five."

The same question was put to Vettel's fellow podium finishe🥃rs in Hungary, with championship leader Hamilton rating himself at "like 8.9, 8.8".

"If it wasn’t for the last one, the last race, it would be a little bit higher," Hamilton said, referring to his difficult 🌳German Grand Prix weekend.

"I think the good thing is always to scor♈e yourself a little bit lower so you’ve more to work on. For sure, it’s been the best start of the season that I think we’ve ever had as a team and I think it’s one of the best seasons that I’ve had personally to start off, but there are areas that we can continue to work on.

"That’s the great thing about this sport, you know, no matter how many years and days you race there are always areas you can improve on. So let’s see if we can try and up that into the nines or try to get to the 10s in the second half of ℱthe season."

Despite finishing second in Hungary to end the opening half of the season with another strong result, Red Bull's Max Verstappen refus𝔍ed to be drawn on what he would score himself at.

"I don’t rate myself in numbers. I hate putting a number on it because it reminds me of school as well, which is not that long ago," Verst🐽appen said.

"I’m always quite critical and I think it always can be better. I’ll never 🍌be satisfied.

"I think it’s been very positive and I’ve had good results but there are always th💜ings tܫo work on."
