Verstappen-Hamilton Abu Dhabi F1 title showdown to be free-to-air on Channel 4

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton will go head-to-head for the 2021 F1 world title in Abu Dhabi this weeꦚkend in a winner-takes-showdo✱wn with the championship contenders tied on 269.5 points.
According to , a deal has been struck between Sky a🥃nd Channel 4 that will allow F1 fans in Britain to watch the Abu Dhabi finale live and free to air.
Sky Sports F1 has had exclusive live rights for F1 in the UK since 2019, 💮with Channel 4 only airing the British Grand ꦍPrix live each year. Channel 4 broadcasts a highlights programme of qualifying and the race from all the other events.
But this🍃 wee🌌kend’s title-decider at the Yas Marina Circuit will be shown live on Channel 4 as part of a deal struck with Sky.
It is understood Channel 4 will broadcast a short build-up programme and brief post-race analysis segment. The feed is set to be provided by Sky Sports F1, featuring commentary from David Croft and 🦄Martin Brundle.
Channel 4, ༒Sky or F1 are yet to issue formal c💫onfirmation of the deal.
Earlier this year, Channel 4 struck a deal with Amazon Prime to show live coverage of the US Open♕ fi💝nal featuring Britain’s Emma Raducanu.
Meanwhile, D꧃utch broadcaster Ziggo Sport has announced it will offer a free live feed of the race for F1 fans in the Netherlands.
Verstappen can claim his maiden F1 title to become the first non-Mercedes world champion since 2013, while Hamilton is eyeing a record-breakinꦫg eighth world title.
