Juan Manuel Correa will remain in intensive care for at least one more day as doctors continue to monitor his condition after sustaining severe injuries to his legs during Saturday's Fꦡormula 2 crash at Spa-Francorchamps.

Correa's 🍰car was involved in the accident on Lap 2 of the F♊2 Feature Race that claimed the life of BWT Arde🥃n driver A🐎nthoine Hubert. C🔴orrea was hospitalised with fractures to both hꦦis legs, and underwent surgery on Saturday in Liege, Belgium.

Doctors confirmed on Sunday that Correa was in 🧜a stable condition, with a further update following in the early hours of Monday morning in which it was confirmed that he had been informed of Hubert's death𓆏.

"The 20-year-old remains in stabl༒e condition after a lengthy surgery to repair fractures to both of his l🐼egs," a statement reads.

"Juan Manuel will remain in intensive care for at least another 2ಌ4 hours to ensure that his condition can continue to be monitored by his surgical team.

"His parents are at his bedside and can confirm that he is fully aware of the events that happened at the Circuit Spa-Francorchamps on 🔜Saturday, and are providing support and comfort to their son who is completely overwhelmed with sadness. Juan Manuel sends his well wishes and prayers to Anthoine Hubert and family.

"Juan Manuel and his family are very thankful to all of the fans for messages voicing their concern. Once his injuries have stabilized docꦍtors will determine w🃏hen he can be transferred back to the United States via an Air Ambulance to continue with a very lengthy rehabilitation program."
