Hartley, Nakajima lead Toyota 1-2 in 6 Hours of Fuji WEC qualifying

Toyota Gazoo Racing locked out the front row of the grid for Sunday's 6 Hours of Fuji as Brendon❀ Hartley and Kazuki Nakajima teamed up to score pole position in the #8 car.

Despite being hit with a pace handicap in a bid to draw the non-hybrid LMP1 cars closer, Toyota managed to dominate procee𒁃dings yet again in qualifying as Rebellion Racing finished over a second off the pace.

Hartley and Nakajima combined to produce a two-driver average of 1m25.013s, giving them pole by 0🌜.790s ahead of Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez in the sister #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid.

Rebel𒆙lion took third with its R13 Gibson, 1.1 seconds down on the pole time, while Team LNT took fourth with its #5 Ginetta. The sister #6 entry will start the race from the back of the grid after only Mike Simpson managed to set a lap time, with co-driver Charlie Robertson spinning late in the session.

Jackie Chan DC Racing scored pole in LMP2 through Ho-Pin Tung and Gabriel Aubry in the #37 Oreca 07 Gibson, beating United Autosports' Phil Hanson and Filipe Albuquerqꦦue by four-tenths of a second, while JOTA Sport took P3 with Anthony Davidson and Roberto Gonzalez.

Porsche took top spot in GTE-Pro qualifying after a late lap from Richard Lietz in the #91 Porsche 911 RSR saw him and Gianmaria Bruni🍨 edge out AF Corse's James Calado and Alessandro Pi🃏er Guidi by 0.041 seconds.

Ben Keating and Felipe Fraga grabbed pole position in GTE-Am in the #57 Porsche, only to be excluded when the car failed scrutineering, handing top spot to TF Sport's #90 Aston Martin👍 Vantage crew of Salih Yoluc and Jonny Adam.
