But Tanak was unable to challenge the front-runners with his best lap leaving him down in 11th place.
Citroen's Craig Breen secured fifth place on the shakedown times ahead of WRC championship leader ♏Thie💫rry Neuville in sixth place for Hyundai ahead of Mads Ostberg (Citroen) and Esapekka Lappi (Toyota).
Rally Turkey rostrum-finisher Hayden Paddon slotted into ninth place for Hyundai ahead of teammate Andreas Mikkelse🃏n with Tanak just outside the top ten.
