Scott Redding displays title credentials with WorldSBK double

Scott Redding proved precisely why he cannot be discounted for the WorldSBK Championship in his m🔯aiden season of competition as he powered to a pair of wins as the series resumed in Jerez.
Rising above scorching temperatures at the southern Spanish venue, Redding produced a smartly executed performance in r💦ace one from pole position, stalking leader Jonathan Rea for much of the race before pouncing for the lead with six laps remaining.
From there 💝he simply eased out to victory, his first in WorldSBK and his first on the international stage since 2013 when he competed 🐎in Moto2.
Though Rea hit back with a win in the shorter Superpole Race, Redding was in dominant form fo🌸r race two, taking the lead at the start of lap two before easing out a dominant winner over Aruba.it Ducati team-mate Chaz Davies.
Extending a run of six podiums in six races – the first of which came five months ago in Australia before the campai💯gn was halted due to the coronavirus - Redding is delighted to be maki🐈ng his mark on the series at this stage in the season.
“To have two victories here, a pole position and a second position, ver꧅y happy for me and the ARUBA Ducati team. They put a great bike under me for these conditions a🅠nd for me to ride it well. We did a good job. I could’ve won the Superpole Race.
“I had the pace to win but I was stuck with Toprak for too long. I had to make sure I had the pace to win in Race 2, and I felt good with the bike and managed to get away and feel comfor🌠table to just tick the lap times off. Really happy to bring back two victories for D♛ucati.”
