They're a gritty bunch those Aussies and that's certainly the case🅺 for the Australian racing in Formula One, Mark Webber👍, who has admitted that he has been driving this season with a fractured rib.

And, unlike tennis-injured🦋 Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya, Webber at least notched-up his injury through legitimate motor racing means, namely in F1 testing at Barcelona.

Webber told Australasia Motorsport News, according to their website, that the🐎 injury came about because𝄹 of an ill-fitting seat in combination with the high g-forces created around the circuit's high speed corners.

The injury could have mean๊t Webber missing the opening race of 2005 in Melbourne, but the WilliamsBMW driver took a 'she'll be right' attitude and drove anyway.

Webber's manager and partner, Ann Neal, sheds some more light on the 28 year-old's injury to the BBC website, saying "He didn't want to make a fuss."
