Hamilton unveiled the new helmet ahead of Friday practice at 𒀰the Losail Inജternational Circuit, with the rainbow colours dominating the colour scheme.

The rainbow is a symbol of the LGBTQ+ community, ꦓwith ho൲mosexuality illegal in Qatar.

F1 heads to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to complete the season with♎ neither country recognising same-sex couples.

Speaking after taking his 10♔2nd F1 pole𝔉 position in Qatar, Hamilton revealed that he will wear it in Jeddah in two weeks’ time.

“I’ll be using the same helmet through probably the last two races after this, oཧr at least next week also, b𒉰ut I am not aware of anyone commenting on it or any negative feedback,” he said.

“On the back it says ‘we stand together’ and ‘love is love’ and it’s important for me to represent that community, I think, here as I know there are several situations which aren’t perfect and need to be highlighted but I hope that someonꦍe reaches out and I would love to know what is happening here and what they’re doing to help support that community more, the LGBTQ+ community. I wait to hear.”

Hamilton sits 14 points adrift of title rival👍 Max Verstappen in the F1 drivers’ championship with three races to go.
